Caroline Pomeroy
Director of Climate Stewards

At Climate Stewards we build capacity in community-based organsiations in the developing world (Uganda, Nepal, Ghana, Kenya, Peru, Tanzania) to develop and manage carbon mitigation projects effectively; provide consultancy advice to organisations to calculate their carbon footprint; promote voluntary carbon offsetting as a tool to reducing carbon footprints; and increase carbon literacy through talks and events.

With the Diocese of Bath and Wells I work with churches to understand how Christian faith and environmental stewardship go hand in hand, and promote the EcoChurch award scheme.

I have been the Director of Climate Stewards since 2013. Climate Stewards provides advice and online tools to help individuals, churches and other organisations to measure, reduce and offset their carbon emissions. They also help people understand more about climate change and creation care. Climate Stewards is part of the A Rocha worldwide family.

I have an MSc in Climate Change Impacts and Sustainability, having previously worked as a Chartered Surveyor. With my husband Henry I spent five years in Ghana and Rwanda working on community and environmental projects with Tearfund and other NGOs. More recently I was an environmental advisor to the Diocese of Bath and Wells. I am a churchwarden at my village church and keen gardener.
